Thoughtful Thursday #39 Halloween

Standard

Halloween is the best day of the year for fun and imagination. Everyone has the chance to dress up and be a creature, superhero, witch, ghost, celebrity or whatever the mind can conjure.

I believe in all things spiritual. I believe in all things magical. I believe in the dark side and the light side. I believe in the power of healing.

Conjuring is about focusing your mind on some outcome. That’s the same as positive thinking and affirmations.

Looks like the ancients had this affirmation thing down to a science. Egyptians had spells for their journey to the underworld. The Tibetan Book of the Dead is a popular read and you can make your own conjure book.

So when you are out there trick or treating and conjuring wishes, please keep them on the positive side because that is all that matters. You wouldn’t want bad magic coming back to you ten fold.

Happy Halloween.

Law of Attraction

Standard

The Law of Attraction is very popular and it works. The Universe responds to your vibrational desire not your words. Words are the tool that send the desire out.

So keep your desires positive and it will return to you. Don’t expect it to be immediately, have patience.

Want not.

Standard

The next time you are waiting for anything, notice what you are wanting. This will be a source of your tension or impatience. All desire has fear built in – fear of not getting or losing, even before your desire is fulfilled. If you want to be free of fear and stress from your life, the secret is to want nothing, and then the magic happens. All that you need and more arrives in your life, at the right time, in the right way.

Thoughtful Thursdays # 38 Sorrow

Standard

Don’t give sorrow to anyone. That means you first. Don’t do anything that will cause you to feel regretful. Don’t do anything that will make someone else feel bad. Detach.

Don’t take sorrow from anyone. Put a large protective boundary between you and the sorrowful situation. This means not to absorb any negativity. Detach.

Keep yourself and others safe by putting a bead in your mouth if you can’t keep it shut. And walk away if need be to stop any onslaught of negativity. Detach.

End drama, don’t respond to it and it will disappear. Detach.

With that said.

Carry on with calmness today and every day.

Energy

Standard

A person’s energy can tell you more about them than their own words – author unknown. Energy is real, and you can feel it, see it, hear it, taste it, so pay attention.

So, we ban things from airplanes not because they are dangerous, but because they frighten us. We avoid writing, or sales calls, or inventing or performing or engaging not because we can’t do it, but because it might not work. We don’t interact with strange ideas, new cuisines or people who share different values because those interactions might make us uncomfortable…

Funny looking tomatoes, people who don’t look like us, interactions where we might not get a yes…

Growth is messy and dangerous. Life is messy and dangerous. When we insist on a guarantee, an ever-increasing standard in everything we measure and a Hollywood ending, we get none of those.

Does the past define who you are now?

Standard

The past can’t define who you are today because what is past no longer exists. The actions of the past become part of the overall experience of a person’s life. Whether those experience are positive or negative are not right or wrong but lessons to be learned from. Some lessons are painful some are happy some are neutral.

At any time we can choose your own path. At any time you can see an action as one that will bring a positive result or a negative one. All it takes is a little detachment about making different decisions in the future.

Don’t buy into past beliefs that because you made a poor decision in the past you can’t make different decisions in the future. That’s the beauty and benefit of free will. You always have a choice. Just step back a moment and see what is going on, then decide.

Don’t pick on, berate put down or scare yourself with your thoughts.

Be kind and gentle to yourself. you are special and wonderful,

So believe it and act on it.

Two Things To Remember

Standard

There are two things to remember.

If it makes you happy, do it.
If it doesn’t then don’t.

So simple, so true.

Thoughtful Thursdays # 37 Feelings

Standard

You will not break or die or disappear if you feel your feelings. There’s no need to run away or distract yourself with some substance or panic. Wait at minute. Just stop.

Feelings are scary. We don’t want to face them because we fear the depth of our magnificent selves. Deep in the well of our being is where the truth is.

That’s the reason you are feeling something. Your inner wisdom is telling you a truth. So why are you afraid?

Take a moment to just feel without judgement, without reacting, without running away. Let your feelings come out. Turn down the chatter in your mind, silence the inner critic that dishes out fear as if it were candy. The critic is not your friend when it comes to personal growth.

Your heart is calling you. Your feelings are calling you. You are a wonderful human being. Start acting the like it.

Don’t be so selfish. The world is waiting for your wonderfulness.

Go ahead love your self and others in your world. Say good things to yourself.

Give your self credit for getting as far as you have in this life. Your life may not have been perfect. So what if your life is not perfect. Welcome to the club because no one’s life is perfect.

Stop making the world wait for you. You are important.

Go ahead be happy, gorgeous, wonderful and a rock star.

Blessings to all.

Short Story Saturday #1 The Future

Standard

I am starting a series of very short stories with a positive theme. Please enjoy and your comments are always welcome.

Once upon a time, just a week ago I found a winding road. Since I have nothing else to do I walked on it. The beginning of the path was easy; there were no bushes or rocks to trip on, just smooth dirt. Confident I could continue unencumbered I trekked on.

As I walked the light became a little less so I had to adjust my eyes to the the light. I tripped on an upturned tree root and fell on my knees. Ouch that really hurt. I got up and brushed myself off. I wasn’t bleeding anywhere so I continued. The trees became thick with only trickles of light. I hobbled carefully on the road that was becoming increasingly unpredictable. Boulders, vines, downed trees and unrecognizable sounds were invoking fear and uncertainty in me. Why did I walk down this path in the first place? I can’t turn back because the way is no longer clear. I must go forward.

It occurred to me this is the road to my future. Each obstacle is just a teacher on this path. I must learn to be unattached to the outcome of each obstacle.

Lightened from the burden of fear I walked on and went over, under, around or through each obstacle laid in front of me. It didn’t take long to find the end of the winding road.

There is was, exactly what I was looking for, my future in my own way.
